I love shops that are a bit different, shops that can surprise me. One of York’s best kept secrets is Aligator Wholefoods, an organic shop on Fishergate. Fortunately, it is on the way between my parent’s house and York city centre. So I get to walk past it most weeks.
I get all of my tea from Aligator, plus a rather excellent range of Source Food’s organic miso. I am a big fan of miso, especially miso soup. Quick, tasty & easy to make food is always a hit with me.
They’ve got a line in organic tofu too.
